Winterguard wins at Campbell County
Congratulations to the Owensboro Catholic Winterguard on placing 1st out of 11 teams at the Campbell County Competition on Saturday, February 27. The Winterguard is a member of the Tri-State Circuit which includes groups from Kentucky, Indiana, and Ohio. The Winterguard will continue their season this Saturday, March 6 at Louisville Butler and will perform at 3:25 p.m.
The Winterguard is instructed by Ed and Katie Hauser. Team Members are: Michael Crowe, Jennifer Phillips, Morgan Oller, Sarah Murphy, Juliana Aud, Zach Hendrix, Megan Alvey, Allison Schepers, Cortney Phillips, and Lindsey Carrico.
| Kent McCarthy makes ALL-STATE BAND!!!!
Congratulations to senior percussionist Kent McCarthy on making All-State Band. Kent is Owensboro Catholic's first All-State band member since 1995. He placed in the Top 5 in the Snare audition and made the All-State Symphonic Band---the top band!!!!! Kent will participate in All-State in February during the KMEA State Music Conference. Way to go Kent!!!!!

| Christmas Concert--December 14
The Owensboro Catholic Christmas Concert will be on Monday, December 14, 7:00 p.m. at Blessed Mother. 6th and 7th graders are asked to arrive at 6:00--all other students at 6:30. Each family is asked to bring cookies (store bought will be fine) for a reception following the concert.
| Work Night
Band parents and students are participating in a "work night" at the Owensboro Catholic High School Band Room on Wednesday, December 16 at 6:00. Dinner will be provided. We will be storing the marching band props and uniforms. All is encouraged to attend!
