Brother Nikeas is one of the most senior members of the Black Church. With an unnatural attraction to
the young, he serves the Darkness by overseeing the care of the children in the Temple of Zenekar.
Harsh, unforgiving and evil, Nikeas was hand-picked to his position by Lord Cilegna. He ensures that every child feels the pain and delicious hopelessness that a world filled with shadow offers. Through this torment each young acolyte of Zenekar becomes stronger and more sinister. As a child himself, Nikeas committed pernicious acts of violence. He served as a crewman onboard a large cargo ship in his younger years, until suspicions arose after the crew began falling victim to cruel and unnatural deaths. Avoiding capture, Nikeas disappeared into the port city of Larems De, where he lived for a while by performing odd jobs for merchants. His hunger for evil could not be restrained, however, and he continued his brutal killings. Beginning with anonymous travelers, and moving then to locals, Nikeas took great care in the details of his murderous acts. Making sure each victim experienced exorbitant levels of pain and humiliation before their deaths, he fed upon their suffering, as well as their flesh. The deeds, too terrible to be ignored, were eventually traced to him and he was captured. While awaiting his own execution, he was encouraged to escape by followers of the Dark Church. The sinister children of Zenekar had taken notice of the great evil in Nikeas, and they brought him to study the ways of the Crimson Hand. Building upon his inborn strengths and taking pride in his hideous work, Nikeas serves his Dark master well. |
