Where are they now?

Early days member Kevin “Slyder” Terry and his family left us in 2000 for greener pastures in Kent, Washington. Since that time, they have grown into a family of four with the addition of a new little sister for Madison; Katelyn. They have since moved again, this time to northern California. No word yet as to whether he has braved the famous Rubicon Trail (I know I would have by now!), but here are some pictures of what the TJ has morphed into, and a brief description of what he has done to it since he left for the west.

image042First, it received a Dana 44 rear axle ( how many of us remember how funny it looked on Allen’s hillside with the broken 35?) 4.88 gears and Detroit lockers were stuffed into both axles for a much needed improvement in traction and crawlability. Of course, this new found ability helped it discover gravity…

Next, it received a full roll cage (after the flop!) and a Rubicon Express 5.5” long arm suspension kit. After finally giving up on the old 35” General Grabbers, a set of 35” Pro Comp X Terrains were put on. These were short lived, and soon a set of 37” Good Year MT/R’s was mounted up.  That is all I know (or think I know) right now. I’m sure Slyder will let me know if anything was incorrect.
