(Continued from page ) Next we headed to the 10
trail, luckily it was mostly down hill.
Although it did have it’s moments going upward. After that some of the group broke up and
headed back to the hotel. The ones
that stayed were in for some more adventure.
The idea was to head up the switchback trail and try to come down the
staircase. The problem however was
that we had to go up first. What
seemed like a simple hill sent each and every vehicle backwards even though
the wheels were moving forward. We had
vehicles strapped to trees and backed up to trees to stop the sliding. Even T-bone had to get the winch out on
this one. After it was decided we
could not go up we opted to try to go sideways across the hill and found a
trail that took us to the staircase after all. After reaching the bottom of the trail it
was decided we should call it a day and we made our way back to the hotel
looking forward to the hot meal that was waiting. I would like to thank Max,
T-bone and Hammer for the help on the trails that I lead. I had a great group of people on both
Friday and Saturday and they made it a great weekend. “Professor”
