Campfire Talk -n- stuff

Well, the ratmobile seems to be more or less finished. At least as finished as any trail rig ever really is. There are still several minor cosmetic projects in the works, such as a rear fender bob I have been planning for a while, but it seems as though the major stuff is pretty much done. Over the weekend I installed my new axles. Front Dana 30 with 4.56 gears and lock rite, rear Dana 44with 4.56 gears, Detroit Locker, Grand Cherokee disc brakes, and raised lower shock mounts. The XJ also sits about 2” or so higher now. Thanks to Daniel for his long long hours of help getting it finished Sunday, and to all those who lent moral support or chased wrenches down for me so I didn’t have to get up off the floor to look for them. Also, a HUGE thanks to my loving wife for her patience and understanding through all this. Future plans include the previously mentioned fender bob surgery, an upgraded cooling system, longer front shocks, shorter rear shocks (due to the relocated mounts), finish the roll on bed liner inside, and some additional rear bumper mounts for added strength.

It’s like the Great Ratholio was saying, your trail buggy is never done. You repair and replace as you move along. You will start at one place and think you are ok, then you see something or hear of something better, so like the Tim Allen in all of us, We UPGRADE (AUHAUHAUH) just to find out later there is still something better out there.

As for me, I really would like to thank all the guy’s that help me work on my ole trail buggy, especially, Chuck and Rich, with out their help some things would not have gotten done.

Really what I’m getting at is this, If you need help or need a opinion on something feel free to call on fellow Boonie, cause there is a chance that he has already done it or can send you to someone or place for answers.

Thanks to everyone that has helped
